It was a night when Glen Hansard performed the Oscar-winning Falling Slowly with a string quartet and an all-star cast. His trusty Fender acoustic was passed around; from Danny O’Reilly to Gavin James, from Matthew Devereaux to Mark Geary to Eoin Glackin. Every song was delivered with aplomb, while the linguistic mastery of spoken word artist Stephen James Smith also shone.
